CONT-EXP-007: Pascal LinkedIn — Client Industry Specific Hook vs Generic Hook

About EthumPascal LinkedIn Personal

═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ CONT-LOSE-SOP-002: Why Industry-Specific Hooks Failed on Pascal's LinkedIn (Saved as Knowledge — Do Not Repeat) ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ Status: ❌ Loser Knowledge SOP Created From: CONT-EXP-007: Industry-Specific Hook vs Generic Hook Owner: Haider (managing Pascal's LinkedIn) Enforced By: Nabeel Abbas ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ WHAT FAILED & WHY ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 1. INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC HOOKS DID NOT INCREASE ICP IMPRESSIONS Testing "If you run a B2B SaaS company and your pipeline is dry" vs "If your pipeline is dry" showed industry-specific hook had 10-15% LOWER impressions and similar engagement. → Adding "If you run a B2B SaaS company" narrowed reach without increasing ICP-matched engagement. 2. PASCAL'S AUDIENCE IS ALREADY ICP-MATCHED After 3 years of consistent B2B SaaS content, Pascal's followers are 80%+ B2B SaaS founders, revenue leaders, and sales teams. Adding "If you run a B2B SaaS company" to the hook didn't filter anyone out — it just added unnecessary words that diluted the punch of the opening line. → Industry qualification works for new or broad audiences, not established niche audiences. 3. LINKEDIN'S ALGORITHM DOESN'T WORK LIKE SEARCH ADS The hypothesis assumed "naming a specific industry in the first line acts as a targeting signal." But LinkedIn's organic feed algorithm doesn't target based on keywords in hooks — it targets based on historical engagement patterns. Pascal's content already gets distributed to B2B SaaS audiences because that's who engages with it. Adding keywords doesn't change distribution. → LinkedIn organic ≠ LinkedIn ads. Industry keywords don't act as targeting signals in organic posts. WHAT TO DO INSTEAD ────────────────────────────────────────────────── ✅ Keep hooks punchy and direct (no industry qualification needed) "If your pipeline is dry — read this." is stronger than "If you run a B2B SaaS company and your pipeline is dry." ✅ Let 3 years of niche content do the filtering Pascal's audience self-selected over time. No need to qualify them in every hook. ✅ Test pain-point specificity, not industry labels Instead of: "If you run a B2B SaaS company..." Try: "If your CAC is climbing and you don't know why..." RULES GOING FORWARD ────────────────────────────────────────────────── ❌ NEVER add industry qualifiers to hooks for established niche audiences ❌ NEVER assume LinkedIn organic keywords act like ad targeting ❌ NEVER dilute punchy hooks with unnecessary qualifiers ✅ DO keep hooks direct and pain-point focused ✅ DO trust 3 years of niche content to filter the audience ✅ DO test specific pain points, not industry labels ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════ ENFORCED BY: Nabeel Abbas ASSIGNEE: Haider (managing Pascal's LinkedIn) DO NOT REPEAT: Industry-specific hooks on established niche profiles ═══════════════════════════════════════════════════
